Helmed by Angie Nolan, Hallmark’s ‘Falling into Place’ is a romantic drama movie that centers on a young woman named Kaia, who leads a fast-paced, busy life in the city. Several years after moving away from her hometown of Maplecrest, she returns to attend the town’s fall festival, Maplecrest Fall Fest, and her high school reunion. During her homecoming, Kaia reunites with old friends and acquaintances, including her childhood best friend, James. Together, the two friends catch up and work on completing their fall bucket list, which they made earlier. In the process, sparks begin to fly between Kaia and James, with the former having to make a tough choice between staying in her childhood town or going back to the bustling streets of the city. The contrasting visuals of the city and Maplecrest reflect two distinctly different lifestyles.
Where Was Falling into Place Filmed?
‘Falling into Place’ was reportedly filmed entirely in British Columbia, specifically in and around Vancouver. As per reports, principal photography for the Hallmark production got underway in the last week of May 2026 and concluded after a couple of weeks in the second week of June of the same year. While announcing the picture wrap on her first Hallmark film as a director, Angie Nolan shared a few words of gratitude for her team.
She said, “I’ve had a few days to process and I’m still at a loss for words. This experience has meant so much to me. Joy is what I will remember most when looking back. So much joy. I’m beyond grateful for this entire team. Such good people. I feel truly lucky because I know the rarity of these kind of experiences. Thank you to every single person who worked on this project – you will always have a special place in my heart.”
Vancouver, British Columbia
All the pivotal sequences for ‘Falling into Place’ were taped across the city of Vancouver, situated in British Columbia’s Lower Mainland region. To depict the scenes showcasing the events unfolding in Kaia’s life in the city, the production team utilized its modern streets and architecture. The establishing shots likely feature several tall buildings and popular landmarks, such as the Lions Gate Bridge, Harbor Center, Science World, the Vancouver Art Gallery, and Living Shangri-La.
To film the scenes set in the fictional town of Maplecrest, the cast and crew seemingly traveled to the outskirts of Vancouver. From the looks of it, they set up camp at a farmhouse and its surrounding areas to shoot the fall fest sequences. Apart from ‘Falling into Place,’ the city of Vancouver has served as a prominent production location for numerous movies and TV shows, including ‘Voicemails for Isabelle,’ ‘The Art of Racing in the Rain,’ ‘The Age of Adaline,’ ‘Legends of the Fall,’ ‘When Calls the Heart,’ ‘Once Upon a Time,’ ‘Off Campus,’ and ‘Every Year After.’
