Created by Brian Baugh, GAF’s ‘County Rescue’ is a drama series that highlights the work of EMTs and the courage they must show to save lives. It is portrayed through the character of Dani Miller, an aspiring EMT who believes that her calling is to save people’s lives. However, since there is only one paramedic opening, she must compete against two other trainees — an over-qualified rookie and the fire chief’s son — to prove that she deserves the spot. Meanwhile, she must also navigate her personal life, recent heartbreak, and self-belief. Most of the drama unfolds at the EMT office, where Dani and other trainees are on stand-by, awaiting calls of duty.
Where Was County Rescue Filmed?
‘County Rescue’ is filmed across Tennessee and Arkansas, particularly in Nashville, Bradley County, Chattanooga, and Bentonville. The debut season was shot in the summer of 2023, between June and July. As for the sophomore installment, its production took place from July 2024 to September 2024, over the course of six weeks or so. According to reports, principal photography for the third iteration got underway in October 2025 and wrapped up in the first week of December of the same year.
Nashville, Tennessee
For the shooting purposes of season 1, the production team of ‘County Rescue’ set up camp in the capital of Tennessee — Nashville. The locales of the seat of Davidson County feature in various exterior and interior scenes as Nashville’s streets and establishments were turned into film sets. A sound stage in one of the film studios located in or around the city also served as an important filming destination for shooting key indoor portions.
Bradley County, Tennessee
In season 2, other areas of Tennessee fill the visual canvas of ‘County Rescue.’ To be specific, the filming unit took over Bradley County for a while, as its county seat, Cleveland, hosted the production of the second round of the drama series. Over the course of the six weeks of production, numerous neighborhoods of the City with Spirit accommodated the shooting of the Brian Baugh creation. In the establishing shots, you are likely to spot multiple landmarks and places of interest in the county, such as the Cleveland/Bradley County Greenway, Bradley County Park, Mosby Park, Bradley County Courthouse, and more.
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Several pivotal sequences for ‘County Rescue’ season 2 were also reportedly taped in and around the city of Chattanooga. The skyline of the Scenic City consists of various landmarks and buildings, such as the Creative Discovery Museum, the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Hotel, Hunter Museum of American Art, the Olgiati Bridge, Walnut Street Bridge, and more, some of which might feature in the drama series. Other movies shot in the city include ‘The Six Triple Eight,’ ‘October Sky,’ ‘Identity Thief,’ ‘Water for Elephants,’ ‘The Adventures of Ociee Nash,’ and ‘Heavens Fall.’
Bentonville, Arkansas
For taping the third season of ‘County Rescue,’ the filming unit traveled to Bentonville, the county seat of Arkansas’ Benton County. In particular, they reportedly took over the sound stages and other facilities of Bentonville Studios, located at 13416 Dickson Road in the unincorporated community of Hiwasse just northwest of Bentonville. Reportedly, Arkansas’ largest production studio, it offers 10,000 square feet of dedicated studio space, three production offices, hair and makeup rooms, and other amenities necessary for bringing any kind of production to life.
One of the cast members, Brett Varvel, shared his experience of shooting the third season in Bentonville. He stated, “Wow! What an experience! For the past 2 months I have been blessed to be surrounded by some of my favorite people on the planet doing what we love to do. This season I was also blessed with the incredible honor to direct episode 5 🙌🏻 This cast and crew hold an amazing place in my heart. I love you all and am so thankful to know you.”
County Rescue Cast Details
Julia Reilly and Riley Hough lead the cast of ‘County Rescue’ as they help bring the narrative to life through their impressive onscreen performances. The former also has experience as a writer on a few short films, including ‘Jumping Contest,’ ‘Driving Miss Crazy,’ and ‘Munchkin Number 4.’ As for Riley, he showcased his direction skills in one episode of ‘Hawthorne.’
Julia Reilly as Dani Miller
Julia Reilly dons the garb of Dani Miller, the EMT in training who aspires to earn the sole paramedic opening, in the Great American Family production. Widely known for her roles in ‘The Giant’ as Justine Corgan, ‘God of Dreams’ as Ket, ‘Stranger Things’ as Tammy Thompson, ‘Will Trent’ as Jackie Bryant, and ‘Heaux Phase’ as Monique, Julia also features in other films, including ‘Christmas of Giving,’ ‘In the Shadows,’ ‘A Little Women’s Christmas,’ and ‘Christmas with Jerks.’
Riley Hough as Tim
In ‘County Rescue,’ Riley Hough steps into the role of Tim. You might find his face familiar because he stars in ‘The Resident’ as Ralph, ‘Secrets to Kill For’ as Officer Glen, ‘Picture Perfect Sister-in-Law’ as Officer T. Dietz, and ‘Our Kind of People’ as the Bartender. He also has several short films, including ‘El Secreto,’ ‘Endings,’ ‘Two Simple Men,’ and ‘Sisters.’
Other talented actors who play supporting yet important roles in the GAF drama show include Brett Varvel as Andy Dalton, Tim Perez-Ross as Chief Scotty Travis, Stacey Patino as Liz Santiago, Kristin Wollett as Ashley Dalton, Tanya Christiansen as Lisa Miller, Curtia Torbert as Tiffany, Percy Bell as Duke, and Angel Luis as Marcos Alvarez.
