Get Off My Lawn: Filming Locations and Cast Details

In Lifetime’s ‘Get Off My Lawn,’ we get acquainted with a suburban couple, Jackie and Jason, who finally purchase their first home together in an idyllic and quaint neighborhood. After moving into their new house, the two are introduced to a teenage boy named Alec, who tells them that his late grandfather owned the house and wanted him to have it one day. At first, Alec is overtly friendly with Jackie and Jason as he welcomes them into the suburban street and introduces them to his friends.

As days pass, Alec’s intrusive nature becomes a problem for the couple as they try to settle in. Soon, the deranged teenager teams up with his friends to make Jackie and Jason’s lives a living hell by pulling off a new prank every other day. Helmed by Amara Cash, the thriller drama movie is set in a suburban neighborhood, as its picture-perfect exterior harbors dark truths, just like the teenager and his friends.

Where Was Get Off My Lawn Filmed?

The shooting for ‘Get Off My Lawn’ took place in its entirety in California, especially in the sprawling city of Los Angeles. Principal photography for the Amara Cash directorial reportedly took place in the month of March 2024, over the course of a few weeks. Reminiscing the production days, Camila Banus shared a few BTS pictures along with a few words describing her experience. Expressing her elation at being part of the project, she stated, “Filming ‘Get off my lawn’ was such a great experience!!! Had an absolute blast with all the cast and crew…”

Los Angeles, California

In order to fill the visual canvas of ‘Get Off My Lawn,’ the filming unit set up camp in different parts of Los Angeles. To be specific, the cast and crew members took over the suburban neighborhood of Chatsworth to depict the idyllic community where Jackie and Jason move. They set up camp at numerous properties in the residential area, including one that doubled as the house the couple purchases. The picturesque setting of Chatsworth makes it an ideal filming location for taping pivotal sequences against the backdrop of the San Fernando Valley.

Moreover, the aerial shots of the neighborhood and the surrounding areas helped the makers to ground the narrative in reality. The city of Los Angeles has served as a prominent production location for numerous other movies and TV shows, such as ‘Obsession,’ ‘Rear Window,’ ‘Gone Girl,’ ‘Donnie Darko,’ ‘Mulholland Drive,’ ‘Don’t Worry Darling,’ ‘The Last Thing He Told Me,’ ‘Imperfect Women,’ ‘Presumed Innocent,’ and ‘Sharp Objects.’
