As such, the thriller movie delves into a harrowing tale of kidnapping, survival, and torment, all portrayed through the claustrophobic interiors and exteriors of the house, making the setting an integral part of the narrative.

To that end, filming took place at the historic Charles Harvey House at 715 Sutherland Avenue. It is a large, two-and-a-half-story brick building constructed in 1908 in a mix of Queen Anne and Foursquare styles, lending it an aesthetic look of an old and graceful Victorian-era structure.
