In Lifetime’s ‘Girl in the Coffin,’ Jasmine Sutter grieves the tragic passing of her mother, Carol, who lost her life to cancer. After a successful funeral at the Trevett Family Funeral Home, organized by the compassionate funeral director Bill Trevett, Jasmine becomes close to him. Little does she know that Bill is a troubled man with dark and deadly secrets of his own. As time passes and the young woman comes to appreciate him for taking good care of her late mother, the funeral director becomes dangerously obsessed with Jasmine to the point that he believes they belong together.
The young woman’s life turns upside down when she finds herself trapped inside a coffin in the basement of Bill’s funeral home, realizing the extent of his obsession. While her loved ones search for her, Jasmine must find the courage and the means to escape the dangerous man’s clutches. Where Was Girl in the Coffin Filmed?
Although ‘Girl in the Coffin’ is set in the US, it was filmed in its entirety in England, specifically in Norfolk. From what we can tell, principal photography for the Lifetime production took place between April and May 2026, over the course of a few weeks. The director, Jermain Julien, shared a few words of appreciation and gratitude to all the cast and crew members for helping him bring his vision to life. “I want to express all my gratitude to everyone who came on this journey with me and went above and beyond to help me deliver my vision. It was such an adventure,” he stated.
Norfolk, England
The ceremonial county of Norfolk served as the primary production location for ‘Girl in the Coffin.’ The filming unit took over a real-life property in Norfolk to double as the fictional Trevett Family Funeral Home, where all the drama unfolds. A few indoor scenes were seemingly also shot in a controlled environment on a sound stage of a film studio located in the ceremonial county. Given the vastness and versatility of Norfolk, it perfectly stood in for a small US town.
