Under the direction of Troy A. Scott, Lifetime’s ‘The Jealous Bride’ centers on a seemingly picture-perfect couple, Meg and Josh, who have recently gotten engaged and are in the middle of preparing for their grand wedding. All of Meg’s excitement for the big day is clouded by a shroud of jealousy when a woman named Simone from Josh’s past reenters his life unexpectedly. Unable to contain her jealousy, Meg stops her preparations and focuses on destroying Simone before she can get close to Josh again. However, her obsession could turn out to threaten her love and future with her fiancé. The events of the mystery thriller unfold across several settings, including the couple’s home, public spaces, and offices, adding a layer of authenticity to the narrative.
Where Was The Jealous Bride Filmed?
The shooting for ‘The Jealous Bride’ was conducted in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia. From what we can tell, principal photography for the Lifetime production took place over the course of a couple of weeks, in the month of March 2026, under the working title ‘Jealous Type.’ Thanks to its vast and versatile landscapes as well as excellent production infrastructure, British Columbia it serves as an ideal filming destination for all kinds of projects.
Greater Vancouver, British Columbia
Located in the southwestern corner of mainland British Columbia, Greater Vancouver served as the primary production location for ‘The Jealous Bride.’ From what we can tell, the cast and crew members made the most of the diverse locales of the city of Vancouver. The production team set up camp in different streets and neighborhoods, using natural and urban backdrops to paint the visual canvas of the thriller. Over the decades, Vancity has emerged as one of the leading film and television production hubs in North America.
The diverse landscapes, lucrative tax incentives, world-class film infrastructure, skilled technicians, talented local pool of actors, cooperative film office, and many other factors naturally attract projects of varying scale and genre to the region. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the Lifetime production, like several other films from the network, chose Hollywood North as its base for shooting. Some shots were seemingly recorded in the city of Burnaby, located east of Vancouver, in Metro Vancouver.

Amber Stevens West, Michael Xavier, and Donna Benedicto bring the enthralling tale of ‘The Jealous Bride’ to life through their impressive performances. Besides being talented actors, all three have served as executive producer/associate producer for at least one project. For instance, Amber served as an executive producer on ‘The Christmas Showdown,’ while Michael and Donna worked on ‘A Hundred Lies’ and ‘Irregardless,’ respectively.
Amber Stevens West as Meg
Amber Stevens West dons the garb of Meg, the jealous bride who resorts to extreme measures, in ‘The Jealous Bride.’ Hailing from LA, she is widely known for her portrayals of Maya in ’22 Jump Street,’ Ariel in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man,’ a cheerleader in ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift,’ and Sara in ‘Fired Up!’ Amber has plenty of TV credits to her name, too, including ‘Happy Together,’ ‘The Neighborhood,’ ‘Run the World,’ ‘Ghosted,’ ‘The Carmichael Show,’ and ‘Greek.’

In the Lifetime production, Michael Xavier portrays Josh, Meg’s fiancé, who has an extramarital affair. Over the course of his diverse acting career, he has showcased his talent by taking on roles in different kinds of projects. You might recognize him from ‘Shazam!’ as a Carnival Cop, ‘A Swingers Weekend’ as Teejay, ’88’ as Jake, ‘Rookie Blue’ as Bernie Lucas, and ‘Wild Cards’ as Detective Simmons. He also features in ‘Trading Up Christmas,’ ‘Kill Victoria,’ ‘Beware of the Midwife,’ ‘The Expanse,’ ‘Northern Rescue,’ and ‘Kim’s Convenience.’
Donna Benedicto as Simone
Donna Benedicto essays the role of Simone, Josh’s mistress, in the thriller drama movie. The ‘Almost Human’ fame actor stars in ‘Family Law’ as Sabrina Bass, ‘Supergirl’ as DEO Agent Reiff, ‘Alert’ as Lieutenant Sophie Kirby, ‘Trap House’ as Sandy, and ‘The More the Merrier’ as Samantha Cameron. Other movies and TV shows to her credit include ‘The Stars Between Us,’ ‘Boy in the Walls,’ ‘Desire: A Temptations Story,’ ‘The Now,’ ‘Woke,’ ‘A Million Little Things,’ and ‘The Good Doctor.’
