The Lifetime thriller movie ‘Mama’s Little Murderer’ explores a mother-son relationship that turns from sweet to sour. Anthony lives with his single mother, Constance. They have a good life, with one serving as the other’s support system. However, when Constance brings home her new boyfriend, Leo, Anthony’s world is turned upside down. He is unable to digest the fact that his mother will spend more time with someone else rather than him. This eventually leads him to finding ways of sabotaging Constance and Leo’s relationship and getting rid of Leo. Meanwhile, Constance, who finally gets a second chance at love, has to deal with her son’s unhinged possessiveness, which is outright scary. In keeping with the narrative, the shady visuals evoke a modern atmosphere of dread, where each of the three people sharing the same roof wonders what the others are thinking.
