Under the direction of Caitlyn Sponheimer, Lifetime’s ‘She Stole My Son’s Heart’ is a mystery thriller movie that centers on a young woman named Maria, who fears her defective heart may give out at any moment. As her heart transplant fails, she continues her search for a new heart. Scared of losing her life, she rejects her boyfriend’s proposal and heads out to spend some alone time. Unfortunately, she gets abducted by Vicky Sanchez, a seasoned homicide detective, who is then tasked with finding Maria. The young woman’s sudden disappearance launches an investigation involving rookie detective Chloe Jackson, who begins to find something amiss. The detective’s resilience and instincts are tested to the limit as she traverses the streets of Seattle, Washington, where the mysterious tale unfolds, in search of answers and Maria.

Where Was She Stole My Son’s Heart Filmed?

‘She Stole My Son’s Heart’ was filmed primarily in British Columbia, particularly in and around Kelowna, with minor portions shot in Seattle, Washington. From what we can tell, principal photography for the Lifetime production got underway in October 2025 and continued for a few weeks before wrapping up in November of the same year. Upon the conclusion of the shooting process, Marisol Nichols took to social media and shared a few words about filming the project. She said, “Had so much fun on this film led by @taylor.hickson and @meganpetahill and moi filmed in beautiful Kelowna
Can’t wait for everyone to see.”

Kelowna, British Columbia

Although ‘She Stole My Son’s Heart’ is set in Seattle, Washington, the majority of it was lensed in the city of Kelowna and its surrounding areas. The filming unit took over several streets and neighborhoods across the city, transforming them into film sets. Given its diverse landscape, Kelowna, situated on Okanagan Lake, allowed the makers to use its terrains to depict Seattle. For a couple of days in November 2025, the cast and crew members also traveled southwest of Kelowna to the district municipality of Peachland. They set up camp in and around Heritage Park at 5834 Beach Avenue and various other downtown businesses. From what we can tell, a few pivotal sequences were also seemingly taped at Cibo & Vines, located at 5842 B Beach Avenue.

Seattle, Washington

In order to stay true to the setting, the production team of ‘She Stole My Son’s Heart’ also visited Seattle in Washington. Located on Puget Sound in the country’s Pacific Northwest region, the city’s diverse landscape provided a visually striking backdrop for the establishing shots of the Lifetime movie. In addition to that, the crew lensed some exterior sequences in Seattle, highlighting some of its iconic landmarks and structures.

She Stole My Son’s Heart Cast Details

‘She Stole My Son’s Heart’ is brought to life by the compelling onscreen performances of Marisol Nichols, Taylor Hickson, and Megan Peta Hill. In the 2013 short film titled ‘The Program (SSR-7), Marisol served as the associate producer. As for Taylor, she has served as a driving double in ‘The Unseen’ and showcased her musical talents in ‘Motherland: Fort Salem.’ Similarly, Megan also has other credits to her name, including a direction and writing credit in the 2025 short film ‘Echo.’ Interestingly, Marisol and Megan have previously collaborated on ‘Riverdale’ as Hermione Lodge and Cora, respectively.

Marisol Nichols steps into the role of Vicky Sanchez in ‘She Stole My Son’s Heart.’ Over the course of her decades-long career, she has showcased her versatility and range by appearing in a variety of projects. Widely recognized for her portrayal of Hermione in ‘Riverdale,’ Marisol features in ‘Spiral’ as Captain Angie Garza, ‘Winter Spring Summer or Fall’ as Carmen, ‘The Valet’ as Isabel, ’24’ as Nadia Yassir, Teen Wolf’ as Corinne, ‘GCB’ as Heather Cruz, and ‘The Gates’ as Sarah Monohan.

In the Lifetime production, Taylor Hickson essays the character of Maria, the young woman who is abducted by Vicky. The ‘Bad Genius’ fame actor is known for her portrayals of Natasha Kohl in ‘Giant Little Ones,’ Meghan Orlovsky in ‘Deadpool,’ Petra in ‘Deadly Class,’ and Raelle Collar in ‘Motherland: Fort Salem.’ Her other film and TV credits include ‘Incident in a Ghostland,’ ‘Everything, Everything,’ ‘Hunting Pignut,’ ‘Aftermath,’ ‘North of North,’ and ‘Untamed.’

Megan Peta Hill dons the garb of Detective Chloe Jackson in the thriller film. She might seem familiar to many of you as she stars in ’56 Days’ as Shyla, ‘The Flash’ as Wanda Wayland, ‘Apex’ as Jeza, ‘Boot Camp’ as Poppy Carmichael, ‘A Love to Remember’ as Larissa, and ‘Prey for the Bride’ as Jordan. You might also recognize her from ‘Wild Cards,’ ‘The Irrational,’ ‘Allegiance,’ ‘Big Sky,’ and ‘Nancy Drew.’

In ‘She Stole My Son’s Heart,’ Chance Hurstfield plays the role of Vicky’s son, Gabriel Sanchez, while Sarah Sheehan portrays Scarlett. It also features other talented actors in supporting roles, including Rick Koy as Charles Walker, Marnie Mahannah as Lena, Julian Lao as Employee, Spencer Borgeson as Theo, Shaye Quinn as Dr. Stephanie Wilson, Christopher Wardrop as Police Chief Thomas, and Nastaran Moh as Susie Walker. In addition, the film also stars Wayne Corbeil as Reporter/Passerby and Lori Welbourne as Travel Coordinator.
