Single Black Tenant: Filming Locations and Cast Details

A part of the network’s ‘Ripped From the Headlines’ slate, Lifetime’s ‘Single Black Tenant’ is a mystery thriller drama movie directed by Stacey N. Harding. Inspired by true events, the narrative follows a struggling young woman named Esme Williams, who finds an affordable apartment where she lives with her landlord, Angie. Living in a quaint Cleveland neighborhood, Esme begins to suspect that behind Angie’s friendly facade lies an ulterior motive. In the following weeks, Esme finds several pieces of evidence in different corners of the house, including blood-soaked rags.

On top of that, she also feels threatened by Angie’s volatile nature. All this suggests that Angie likely killed the real landlord and is trying to frame the new tenant for the murder. When the authorities refuse to believe her theory, Esme is forced to take matters into her own hands and get to the bottom of the truth without getting herself killed. The suspenseful film is set mostly in and around the apartment located in a quiet neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. Its secluded suburban setting reflects the landlord’s calm, amicable exterior, but harbors dark secrets within.
