The Five-Star Weekend Filming Locations
The shooting for ‘The Five-Star Weekend’ took place in Massachusetts and California, particularly on Nantucket and in Greater Los Angeles. According to reports, principal photography for the miniseries commenced in June 2025 and continued for more than three months before wrapping up in the first week of October of the same year. The cast and crew members were astonished by the warm welcome they received from the locals on Nantucket.
Nantucket, Massachusetts
To create the visual aesthetic of ‘The Five-Star Weekend,’ the production team settled on Nantucket, Massachusetts. Located off the coast of Cape Cod, dozens of locations on the historic island were used for filming as they set up camp in the region in the month of September and October 2025. A few scenes set at night were taped in and around the terminals of Hy-Line Cruises. Situated at 34 Straight Wharf in downtown Nantucket, the iconic high-speed ferry service has operated for over half a century. From what we can tell, a few of the members of the staff of the service also found a place in the Peacock production.
The Stop & Shop at 31 Sparks Avenue in the Mid-Island area also let its premises be used at night to record some footage. During shooting, a part of the grocery store was closed off for hours. The team was also spotted filming early in the morning around Easy Street and the Steamboat Wharf waterfront area in downtown Nantucket. In the Nantucket Historic District, the legendary oyster bar CRU at 1 Straight Wharf was chosen as a shooting site for morning shoots. Alongside that, the team also requested restricting movement on New Whale Street, where they made use of vintage cars, particularly a baby blue vintage Bronco, to lens a key sequence.
The scene depicting Jennifer Garner as Hollis Shaw, D’Arcy Carden as Brooke Kirtley, and Gemma Chan as Gigi Ling strolling down the sidewalk was recorded on Main Street surrounded by many locals. The exteriors of Bank of America at 15 Sparks Avenue and a private property on Wauwinet Road, as well as 45 Eel Point Road, also make an appearance in the show. Furthermore, a liquor shop at 133 Orange Street named Hatch’s Package Store also offered its premises for the purpose of filming. The cast and crew also visited the south side of the island to shoot a portion at the Nantucket Memorial Airport at 14 Airport Road.
Within the historic Nantucket Harbor, filming was conducted at Nantucket Boat Basin at 1 Swain’s Wharf Road. As per reports, the team captured cutaway shots featuring extras, waterfront cottages, and scenic views of the harbor in the background at the full-service marina. Since the shooting took place across the region, it is likely that The Chicken Box at 16 Dave Street, Bartlett’s Farm at 33 Bartlett Farm Road, and the Summer House Cottages at 17 Ocean Avenue in Siasconset Old Historic District
Greater Los Angeles, California
For the initial months of the shooting process, the production team of ‘The Five-Star Weekend’ set up camp in Greater Los Angeles, a metropolitan area comprising five Southern Californian counties. They constructed replica homes of Nantucket and Wellesley on a sound stage, seemingly at Universal Studios Lot. Situated at 100 Universal City Plaza in Universal City, the film studio is home to more than 30 different-sized sound stages and more than 30 versatile backlot locations, including New York alleys, Courthouse Square, rugged Western Street, and European streets. In addition, the production offices, dressing rooms, rehearsal halls, and other amenities make the Universal Studios Lot one of the favorite filming destinations for many filmmakers. Moreover, a few sequences were seemingly recorded in the coastal city of Redondo Beach.
