From the mind of Guy Ritchie and based on his eponymous 2019 film, Netflix’s ‘The Gentlemen’ is a crime comedy series that centers on Eddie, who becomes the unlikely heir to his aristocratic family’s luxurious estate, which is home to a weed empire. In season 2, Eddie begins to work with Susie Glass and her father, Bobby, who is influential in the criminal underworld despite being behind bars. Having been the heir to the estate for a year, Eddie expands Bobby’s criminal empire overseas, but not without making some reckless choices along the way. It is up to him and Susie to take action to make their mark in Italy or let their ambition dictate their decisions. The action show’s second season is primarily set in England, but plenty of business is done overseas, in the villas of Italy, which introduces new challenges and perils for Eddie.
The Gentlemen Season 2 Filming Locations
‘The Gentlemen’ season 2 followed the pattern of the inaugural iteration by filming across England, particularly in London, Hertfordshire, and Gloucestershire. However, a significant portion of the sophomore round was also shot in Piedmont, Italy. According to reports, principal photography for the second season began in May 2025 and concluded after several months in October of the same year.
London, England
A significant chunk of ‘The Gentlemen’ season 2 was lensed in the capital of England and the United Kingdom — London. The bustling streets and modern architecture make regular appearances throughout the season, with several pivotal sequences shot in the Westminster area located in London’s City of Westminster borough. In the establishing shots, you are likely to notice plenty of popular landmarks and buildings, such as Big Ben, the London Eye, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, the River Thames, and Tower Bridge.
Other Locations in England
The production team of ‘The Gentlemen’ season 2 also utilized the locales of other spots in England, including the ceremonial county of Gloucestershire. In the village of Badminton, the Badminton House once again doubled as Halstead Manor, with its exteriors, staircase, and hallways featuring in various important scenes. The Grade I-listed building, which has served as the principal seat of the Dukes of Beaufort for multiple centuries, and its surrounding gardens and park, add to the grandeur of the visuals of the Theo James starrer. The cast and crew also took over Ashridge House in the town of Berkhamsted, located in Hertfordshire.
Piedmont, Italy
For the purpose of shooting, the filming team of ‘The Gentlemen’ season 2 traveled to the region of Piedmont in northern Italy, where they recorded scenes set in Italy on location. To be specific, key portions were reportedly lensed on Lake Maggiore aboard a Riva speedboat. The production team also constructed a pier in front of Villa Rusconi-Clerici. Located at Via Vittorio Veneto 12 in the Pallanza district of Verbania, the venue served as a prominent production location.
Another property used as a filming site for the show is the Grand Hotel Majestic at Via Vittorio Veneto 32 in Pallanza. It is a 4-star prestigious historic hotel located on the shores of Lake Maggiore. In addition, the comune of Stresa and the picturesque Borromean Islands, situated between Verbania and Stresa, also hosted the production of the crime thriller show’s second season.
