Originally titled ‘Home Safe,’ Lifetime’s ‘The Guest Who Never Left’ is a mystery thriller movie helmed by Jacob Vaughan. The narrative centers on a happily married couple — Anna Stone, the editor-in-chief of an established news magazine, and Daniel Stone, the founder of an AI-focused home security company — as they lead a lavish life in their isolated, humble abode. Looking forward to welcoming their first child, Anna and Daniel are visited by a house guest who poses a threat to them and their unborn child.
On top of that, Kiera’s voice, the advanced AI home security system created and installed by Daniel, adds further complications. The suspenseful tale depicting the downside of technology unfolds mostly in and around the couple’s secluded modern residence. What’s supposed to be a safe haven for them turns into a nightmare when Daniel’s creation turns against him and his wife within the walls of their house.
