While trying to confront him, she can’t help but question her reality and the love he once had for her. With time, Melony realizes that Luke might be hiding something far more sinister. Production on ‘The Him I Knew’ took place in Georgia, specifically in the sprawling city of Atlanta. According to reports, principal photography for the thriller film got underway in the last week of October 2025 and went on for less than two weeks before wrapping up in the second week of November of the same year. The director, Rich Lowe, was overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the project. As the post-production began, he took to social media to elaborate on the experience.
He added, “All of the incredible and experienced crew that came on at a discounted rate because they believed in the project. All the Actors who delivered incredible performances beyond we saw coming. We wrote this film with ideas of how scenes would look in our minds and they all exceeded our wildest dreams. Things went wrong during filming but everyone stayed calm and they always worked out. This was meant to be. This was destiny.”

Located in Georgia’s Fulton County, the city of Atlanta served as the primary production location for ‘The Him I Knew.’ From the looks of it, the filming unit took over quite a few real-life residential buildings and businesses to lens indoor sequences. They also set up camp in one of Atlanta’s residential neighborhoods, where they shot multiple key exterior portions.
The aerial and establishing shots of the bustling city are also likely to feature several notable and popular buildings and landmarks, including the Bank of America Plaza, Truist Plaza, the Woodruff Arts Center, the Georgia Aquarium, 1180 Peachtree, and the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead.
