Where Was The Moonlight Murders Filmed?
‘The Moonlight Murders’ was filmed in its entirety in Florida, particularly in Hillsborough County and Orlando. From what we can tell, principal photography for the thriller commenced in July 2025 under the working title ‘The Man Who Saw Everything’ and continued for a few weeks before wrapping up within the same month. Clayton Louis took to social media and expressed his gratitude towards his fellow cast and crew members. He stated, “It was an absolute pleasure to work on The Man Who Saw Everything! We wrapped this past weekend and it was an incredible experience. It was hard to say goodbye to Zeke! Thank you to my amazingly talented castmates, wonderful crew, and fantastic director, all of whom made this an unforgettable experience. Can’t wait to work with you all again!”
Hillsborough County, Florida
A major chunk of ‘The Moonlight Murders’ was lensed across Hillsborough County, especially its county seat — Tampa. Several streets and neighborhoods across the major city were turned into film sets for numerous exterior scenes. It is likely that they also set up camp inside various real-life establishments in and around the city to shoot indoor sequences. The unincorporated community of Lutz, located a few miles north of Tampa, also served as a key production location for the Lifetime film. Apart from the thriller, Hillsborough County has hosted the production of multiple movies and TV shows, including ‘A Time to Kill,’ ‘The Punisher,’ ‘Fear of Rain,’ ‘Dog Eat Dog,’ ‘The School Duel,’ ‘In the Line of Duty: The F.B.I. Murders,’ and ‘The State Within.’
Orlando, Florida
For the purpose of shooting, the filming unit of ‘The Moonlight Murders’ also reportedly traveled to the county seat of Florida’s Orange County — Orlando. In the establishing shots, you are likely to spot various popular landmarks and buildings in the backdrop, such as SeaWorld Orlando, Church Street Station, Kia Center, Icon Park, Orlando StarFlyer, 200 South Orange, The VUE at Lake Eola, and the Bank of America Center.

The cast of ‘The Moonlight Murders’ is led by the impressive onscreen performances from Harley Bronwyn and Clayton Louis. Besides acting, Harley is also known for her producer credits on the short film titled ‘The Gardener & The Rose,’ the 2024 movie titled ‘Scream: The Fan Favorite,’ and an episode of ‘V for Valhalla.’ As for Clayton, he attended Kentucky’s Governor’s School for the Arts during his high school years, which ignited the desire to pursue acting professionally. He then received his Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Loyola Marymount University in LA before starting to perform in community theatre for several years.

Widely recognized for her portrayals of Evie in ‘Appofeniacs,’ Avery in ‘Scream Therapy,’ Constance in ‘Abigail Before Beatrice,’ and Hayley in ‘Bring Him to Me,’ Harley also features in ‘Glass Casa,’ ‘Secret Life of the Pastor’s Wife,’ ‘Murder Below Deck,’ ‘Secret Love Triangle,’ and ‘Mistletoe in Montana.’
Clayton Louis as Zeke
Clayton Louis essays the role of Zeke, the key witness who harbors a dangerous obsession for May, in the Lifetime production. You might find his face familiar because he features in several movies, including ‘Jelly’ as a waiter, ‘Luderdale’ as Whitey, ‘Predators of the Deep: The Hunt for the Lost Four’ as Mark, and ‘Bird of Paradise’ as Craig. He also has several short film credits to his name, such as ‘What You Have,’ ‘Get Mad, Not Even,’ ‘Pay Per View,’ and ‘Mind Control.’
The thriller film also features Shane Costa as Franco and Justine Rodes as a cop. Moreover, other talented actors who play supporting yet important roles include Madison Moss as Emily, Angelo Reyes as Richard, Courtney Elvira as Detective Foster, Russell Bradley Fenton as Quentin, Rod Grant as Lawyer, Giovanni Greco as CSI Agent, and John Hardy as Detective Doye.
