Her entrepreneurial spirit ultimately led her to launch her own venture, The Ruby Standard, in March 2026, where she is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Beyond her accomplishments, Marissa often participates in marathons.
In March 2023, Marissa proudly completed the half-marathon during The Philly Love Run. Although she has a demanding career, her life largely revolves around her two sons, Derek and Cole, from a previous relationship.
